"John and Paul: A Love Story in Songs" by Ian Leslie - book review

This was my Jolabokaflod from Fran AND I FUCKING LOVED IT! It made me cry multiple times (starting on page 2). There's something so touching about John and Paul's love for each other. There's also a very handy accompanying Spotify playlist of all 43 songs, which I've been listening to while reading the book (although not at the same time). I just love spending time with the Beatles. This brought back lots of memories from throughout my life (and especially my childhood) and when reading Craig Brown's equally and differently brilliant One Two Three Four: The Beatles in Time. I love that there are still Beatles songs that are new to me; or that, after reading this book, will have new depths of meaning and resonance. Reading this book has also swelled my reading list and podcast subscriptions.
